The map here is inferno and LG’s pick. They have some pretty good results on it recently, like beating fnatic at cluj on it. Form wise we saw LG lose a close one to Liquid at RGN and go out 2-0 to Renegades. Regarding the Liquid match, LG would’ve most likely won 2-0 if it weren’t for the round where one of their players disconnected. As for the Renegades loss they just looked tired at that point and had to be.
Cloud9 have actually improved their inferno a lot lately, and looked great on it, but I still don’t think they’ll match up to LG on it. C9 not only just won RGN LAN, but also the iBP LAN. These two were almost back to back, long, and most likely tiresome. C9 have played basically a week almost non stop of CS, with some super intense games, and are probably a little more worn out than LG considering LG got knocked out a few hours before the finals were over.
Either way both teams will be worn out, but also both teams are going to want this. While LG are looking to secure their spot in second in ESL standing, C9 are fighting for a position at all, so they may want this a bit more, but still, I don’t think this will have much effect here.
LG may be still upset over the controversy with Liquid, which I feel like will make them play better here if anything. All in all LG should be favored here and I think they’ll take it, that being said I wouldn’t put anymore than 7-8% on them as there is a lot of risk. Goodluck!
