LG admitted themselves that they aren’t prepared for this event at all, and are using it really to find their feet and don’t expect to do anything of note. They barely played since fnx and TACO joined, and will work on things after the event.
Envy, as I wrote in my previous prediction for them, had barely any hours on CS, some hadn’t played for 4 days, and they are famous for starting slow at tournaments. I almost feel like they use the opening games to warm up, due to their lack of playing time, which is why they slowly improve as the tournament progresses. Also, due to playing with few set strats, it almost lets them get away with not playing that much, because the main things they need to work on is their individual skill and team synergy. I expect them to probably start slow again tomorrow.
I find it hard to believe LG would of managed to work on a lot since their first game, and I am sure their main aim here will be to put up a respectable showing, and get comfortable playing together. LG at their peak were unable to really take down top teams in a BO3, and I would be incredibly surprised if they managed to here as well.
The odds right now reflect how poor LG were, and they don’t make betting the best for this game. Because I think the chances of LG winning to be really small, you can MAYBE get away with betting a bit on nV even at these odds. The safest idea for people with small inventories is to SKIP this game though.
