Tempo Storm beat ENVYUS in Katowice and they also beat them in the group stage of this event, both matches had a best of one format but Tempo Storm won on two different maps and it seems like they just know how to play against ENVYUS, it also seems like they are just better right now, ENVYUS are taking a break from CS:GO right now and I don’t even know why did they attend this event, they all have around 15-20 hours played in the last two weeks and that was probably dming/pugging, I’m still surprised that ENVYUS managed to beat FaZe.
I still think that Tempo Storm is a mediocre team even though they managed to beat a ton of great teams, might be just me but I just can’t convince myself that they are actually good, luckily their odds are surprisingly low in this match and I already placed my bet, I suggest doing the same, this match could be close but Tempo Storm should be able to close it out.
My odds for this match: EnVyUs 40:60 TStorm
Ok I am finally jumping off the ‘Envyus will recover’ cruise ship and I swear if they start winning now, I will be very, very disappointed. This should be a very close match here, obviously these two already played yesterday and it ended 12:3 on the first half, however Envy pulled it back to 14:14, to lose 16:14. The tricky part here is TempoStorm, still not 100% of what to think of them, they are getting these really impressive results here and there, but then disappoint at times too, take their VP game, they are a tough cookie. This is a BO3 which in theory should favor Envy, however I think Tempo’s map pool is better here and at the moment, they should be the better team so I’ll favor them ever so slightly. This is still Envyus however, so do not count them out no matter what. 55-45 TS
3% TempoStorm under 55%, otherwise 3% Envy. Not the best of matches to bet on however it is what it is.
My odds = 55-45 TS
My risk = High
My bet = 3% TempoStorm under 55%, otherwise 3% Envy.
My advice = Same as my bet
My odds for this match: EnVyUs 45:55 TStorm
Hard game to call here because it always goes like this; When you believe in nV to win, then they lose. When you believe in nV to lose, then they win. Simple as that. nV actually didn’t look that bad this lan so far, they had a 14-14 scoreline against Tempo on Tempo’s best map Cobble and still lost 14-16, but surprisingly enough they beat FaZe on Cache and that’s impressive if you ask me especially because FaZe was actually playing good.
Tempo on the other hand haven’t looked that good so far, as I said, nV managed to get a 14-14 scoreline after being 14-4 ish down and that’s not a good thing for Tempo’s CT side. Yesterday against VP they didn’t look really good either as they got simply stomped on Mirage, their 2nd best map. So far, Tempo’s CT side can’t impress me and it looks rather shaky, all teams seem to finally know how to counter Tempo.
A really close BO3 and I don’t really think that he maps matter that much. We might see Cobblestone, Cache and Mirage / Inferno here and it just feels really close, it’s going to depend on whoever steps up and I must say that happy and apex, have been fragging fairly consistently, the entryfragger and lurker getting a lot of frags means a lot to the team. If apex steps up here as well and manages to get the entries, then I expect nV to just roll over Tempo.
