Predictions

Dollarhouse (DHouse)

disco dopplan, draken and freddieB have been playing together under the name ‘Cringe Gods’ since the 10th of February when it was announced that the lineup would become an all Swedish lineup (2 player change). The trio (also partnered with mOkeN and REZ) have managed to win all their matches since the change with them racking up wins against ENCE, DenDD, BEASTS and nevermind.

However this is a different team name and slightly different team roster. Instead of mOkeN and REZ playing, we are seeing the return of NIZN who used to play alongside jOELZ in MaxandRelax is my memory serves correctly and also with dnb who I’m not too sure who he is. DollarHouse qualified for this event through the online qualifier where they beat a bunch of no namer teams which aren’t known enough to tell you. More information about the qualifier can be found here: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/counterstrike/Nordic_Masters/2016/Qualifier/10

They qualified through Qualifier #10 or ten.

Torpedo

Torpedo is obviously the more known team coming in to this match and event as a whole and they have a title to defend. It was in December last year when they won the ESL Nordic Finals which was a LAN event and they won against the Danish NoProblem! We’ve seen them have some struggles here and there since then but they are definitely a solid team to look out for.

Like DollarHouse, Torpedo also qualified through the #5 or fifth online qualifier for the event but their opponents were definitely more skilled than what DollarHouse had to face. Torpedo won all their matches as you have to and had a pretty easy time from what I can see, racking up wins against the likes of Excelling and GGrabb and also Cringe Gods but I’m not sure where I can find the details of that event or who was playing for CG at the time of that being played.

Final thoughts and advice

As this is a BO1, this is a huge risk to bet on, especially if you want to go big which I don’t advise at all. Low on the underdog or skip is what I’m suggesting. DollarHouse are a mix team for this LAN with 3 core players from Cringe Gods. If this was a BO3, hands down Torpedo but since it’s a BO1, it makes me pretty anxious to advise anything other than a low/skip.

My odds for this match: Dhouse 35:65 Torpedo
