FaZe really didn’t look good against VP … obviously this was their own fault as they banned their best map and let one of their worst maps through which is actually VP’s best map as well. They completely threw the veto and in my eyes the winner was already obvious once I saw Train. Never play on Train when you have a new player in your team who never played in your team before, it’s simply not going to work. FaZe did still end up getting 8 rounds but overall they were nowhere to be seen. Extremely disappointing showing by the FaZe boys.
nV … wow that was sad. I’m not sure how far down they were but I guess it was 4-14 ish? They came back all the way to 14-14 just to lose it 14-16 … that’s gotta hurt. nV didn’t look good on their CT side as usual, they got overrun by the Brazilians and really didn’t look good, the main problem of this sad CT side was kennys bottomfragging on this map, Cobblestone is kennys’s map and he needs to get 20+ frags here if nV want to win, he didn’t but nV still had an OK T half as they came back 14-14 but sadly for them … the Brazilians showed up in the end and managed to close it out.
IMO the scariest game of the day, both teams are in the biggest slump ever, FaZe trying to fix it with the addition of kioshima and nV trying to fix it with changing roles within their team. I don’t really know what to call here and as most of you guys know; I hate predicting matches nV play in, they are incredibly unpredictable and are either on or off. I do personally think that nV will win here and will just be going to try it once again and play the odds here.
My odds for this match: FaZe 40:60 EnVyUs
Honestly this has skip written all over it, however we addicts boys. This can really go eitherway, I honestly have no idea what to think here, On one end Envyus are just completely slacking, the TempoStorm result is a bit misguiding since they were down like 12:3 and came back to lose 16:14. FaZe on the other end, why does everybody pick Train vs VP, literally makes 0 sense. I believe the VP guys even said in a interview that they do not understand why people pick it against them, and FaZe just lost a lot of clutch rounds and what not, was just a mess, jsut gotta hope they do not mess up the veto here. Overall two meh performances however with silver linings so that is that. Obviously Kioshima vs Envyus here, will be an interesting turn of events here. This as I said really could go eitherway, expect a close game, the thing going in the both sides favor is that both teams are rather puggy, so that is something that will be interesting. Eitherway, 55-45 Envyus here. How many times will I put hope in them only to get absolutely rejected.
3% Envy below 60%, otherwise 3% FaZe
My odds – 55-45 Envy
My risk = High
My bet = 3% Envy below 60%, otherwise 3% FaZe
My advice = Same as my bet
My odds for this match: FaZe 45:55 EnVyUs
Normally this match is a skip no matter what, however I feel like the current odds are not exactly accurate, we all know how bad ENVYUS are at the moment but FaZe are looking even worse right now, another thing is that both teams had a roster change, basically kioShima got cut from ENVYUS and is now playing for FaZe, while ENVYUS signed DEVIL (ex-LDLC.White player).
The current roster of FaZe is decent but I feel like they don’t have a proper leader, there is also not much fragging power left in the team, kioShima was completely careless in ENVYUS and bottom fragged pretty much every single match, fox is just bad and rain is not playing well every since he started calling. FaZe played extremely bad against Virtus.pro yesterday, they look completely unprepared and didn’t practice with kioShima at all, so this is basically their first match together.
ENVYUS did better, they beat Gamers2 and took a map off of Astralis on ESL ESEA Pro League, they were also one round away from pulling off an amazing comeback against Tempo Storm yesterday, they don’t look as bad as people say, I mean ENVYUS had a break from CS:GO for the last two weeks or so, they surely won’t win the entire event with their current shape, but still did way better than I would expect.
I’d go with ENVYUS here because I feel like both teams will play a puggy style and ENVYUS should come out on top, their players are better individually and should be able to win the aim duels.
