Don’t really get these odds to be honest. Yes NiP looked good the other day, but they also seemed really poor against G2 the other week, and we have not seen enough of them to justify having these kind of odds in a BO1, against mouz on one of their best maps.
They do have a really good record against mouz to be honest, winning 4 of the last 5, most of them in convincing fashion, but a lot of these results were a long time ago, when NiP were a very different side, with a different roster, and a different level. The only results we have seen of any note so far from NiP were their 2 games against Dignitas. Their game against G2 was really poor, they lost multiple rounds in a row on Cache, and overall looked poor. They do now have threat as their IGL, but he is still learning with the side, and they will need time.
Mouz of course off the back of winning the APM event where they destroyed pretty much everyone. NiKo was on form the whole event, chrisJ played well, and even nex hit a some what decent level, which is encouraging for mouz. Their results on Cache are always strong, they love the map, it is almost their playground.
With the odds being how they are now, the only logical bet you can make here in a BO1, is to go LOW on mouz, or pick them to take at least 8.5 rounds on Fanobet as a secondary bet.
My odds for this match: mousesports 40:60 NiP
Map is going to be Cache and this is definitely Mousesports’s best map after Dust2. They are insane on this map as NiKo can single handedly hold a site. NiP are also pretty good on Cache although I’m not sure how it’s going to work with Pyth. I do know that they have a decent T side on this map but I think that Mousesports can hold this and get enough CT rounds to win. NiP’s CT isn’t that good on this map and Mousesports should be able to just get through. It will be incredibly close but I do expect Mousesports to somehow win it in the end.
My odds for this match: mousesports 55:45 NiP
So this is the 1st match between these two on CSGL, the map being Cache here. Could say this is Mouz’s best map, NiP are pretty decent on it too so nothing too one sided here. Obviously we have not seen too much of NiP at all, except their double 16:8 win over Dignitas a week or so ago. I follow Pyth on Snapchat and he almost daily is posting updates from practice and what not, and it seems like these guys are putting in the effort, it just comes down to see if it works really. Pyth has not been impressing me too much honestly, but neither has he been a huge disappointment, somewhere in the middle of the pack, and I mean with time you expect him to improve I guess. I was just watching Mouz play vs G2 on Dust2 just now, and like they are seemingly on point, however not too impressed, Denis out of all the people is firing shots, so that’s something. Overall this is going to be really close, can just come down to who lands their shots, wins pistols and what not. For me, NiP is still the tier 1 team here, 55:45 in favor of them here. The odds on Lounge are really one sided, so a bet on Mouz seems to be the only option.
Going to go 2-3% NiP as long as they are below 60%, don’t see them going that low, so probably will end up with 2-3% Mouz here, hoping for an upset.
My odds = 55:45 NiP
My risk = High
My bet = 2-3% NiP if under 60%, otherwise 2-3% Mouz
My advice = Same as my bet
My odds for this match: mousesports 45:55 NiP
