Both teams had a really good showing yesterday. Navi managed to take down Cloud9 after being down 6-0, they called a pause and right after this pause they won a 2v5. This is the strength of Navi, they always manage to somehow win a run after a pause. They were 6-0 down but managed to come back 7-8, In the end it did look maybe a bit scary as Cloud9 won the first buyround but Navi winning looked like a fact, they weren’t in trouble ever since they called the pause and just looked on point. But it wasn’t whole Navi being on point, it was once again Guardian who was just struggling to get frags, he simply got out-awped by Skadoodle and was bottomfragging for Navi on this map, Edward and Flamie were the ones stepping up. Navi most definitely need Guardian to wake up and play like he did against Astralis in the Final of CounterPit.

VP turned the plow on yesterday, or well, that’s how it looked. We can all say VP were just plowing them down but let’s be honest, what were G2 doing? I think that every single team who’s playing at this major now including Splyce could have won against this G2, they looked so extremely bad and all of a sudden forgot how to aim. I don’t want to stomp VP’s good showing in the ground now but I just think that this stomp was mainly because of G2 1. Ruining the veto 2. Not aiming as they usually do. Other than that, VP didn’t look bad but we have to understand that it was their best map Train they played on. I hope they’re back, but I personally don’t think they are.

Both teams had a fairly easy game yesterday, Navi simply because they were better and VP because G2 were just being bad, like I said, most people say VP are ”back” but It’s just G2 they played against, they will now face Navi and Navi are so much better. If VP want to really proof us that they’re back, then they’re gonna have to beat Navi here which I don’t think will happen personally. I think that Navi are just way too good and especially when Guardian wakes up too, they’re top2 in the world. It’s still a risky match as we don’t know what to really expect from VP so we’ll just play the odds on this one.

My odds for this match: Na’Vi 60:40 VP

Option 2Bet VP if odds 35% or less

Small (5%)

high risk

I am not feeling the ”VP is back” vibe, at all. VP did good in one match, one darn match, even I have good matchmaking games in Silver once in a while. Jokes aside, for me it was more G2 just not landing their shots, being tactically out of place and just did not show up, more than VP being some sort of a CSGO super team. Sure credit where it is due, VP had a good display, refreshing for once however I do not expect them to go in here and 16:1 Na’Vi, I expect Na’Vi to pick themselves up here and just take the W and move on with their lives. It is a BO1 however so VP obviously does stand a lot of chance, however I do not think that Na’Vi will mess up the veto so hard and that they will just be nonexistant on the server. I have high hopes for Na’Vi in this tournament, I am sure they have been working really hard according to Zeus and I am a fan of the team, I think they should be able to take this once again. 60-40 in favor of Na’Vi considering it is a BO1 and the performance VP gave us yesterday. If VP wins this, sure I’ll be more convinced, however a single map win over G2 just won’t get many convinced after your huge slump.

Historically, Navi have an incredible record against the Polish side, and have said in the past they always feel comfortable and confident when they face them. I don’t think you can hype VP that highly from 1 game, and these odds right now are reflecting that. If this game had been played before the game yesterday, the odds would be a lot closer to 70-30. Navi started poorly, but found their rhythm, and if you imagine the pistol round went the other way, they would have ended with an 11-4 half in favour of them for T side train, on C9s best map. It was a dominating performance, and I don’t think VP will have enough today to come through this game with a W.

My odds for this match: Na’Vi 65:35 VP

Option 2Bet VP if odds 35% or less

Small (3%)

high risk
