Winterfox on 25%, you know the drill boys. This is a BO3 between these both, and honestly I do not see why people are completely underrating Winterfox here, ok I kinda see it to an extent, however I believe upset potential is really high here. Winterfox is like NA’s biggest team where if they are on form, great, they can be deadly, they’ve shown it in the past, they have had some good wins, if not that then just map pickups vs top teams, however when they are on their lowest, they are losing to Obey and what not. The guys attended a small NA LAN a day or two ago, not sure on the details but I am pretty sure they won it, however the competition there….not quite large to say the least. These guys live in a gaming house and I mean, 25% for them is pushing it a bit. NRG is obviously still a very new lineup, they have a good overall role set in that team I feel, great leadership too in Legija and Gob B. NRG nearly upset Cloud9 yesterday in a B03, last map ending 16:14, but I mean Cloud9 nearly got upset by Random 5, the team of literally no idea who to be quite rude. NRG definitely are the favorites here, they also live in a gaming house, at least 3 of them, I remember hearing Ptr talk about it in a FPL game, so they are taking the whole thing serious. For me this is a 60-40 game for NRG, and honestly if WFX is feeling it and Silent and Just9n are having a bad game, I don’t see why it can’t be an upset. Watch Winterfox get stomped now, however I’m fully aware of that being a very high possibility.
With how the odds stand, no reason not to go Winterfox here. 2-3% on them as long as they are below 34%, otherwise if they are above it, 2-3% NRG here. Probably Winterfox, don’t see them going that high.
My odds = 60-40 NRG
My risk = High
My bet = 2-3% Winterfox if under 34%, otherwise 2-3% NRG
My advice = Same as my bet
My odds for this match: WinterFox 40:60 NRG eSports
This is the first qualifier for CEVO Season 9 Professional Finals, only one team in each qualifier goes through and NRG is one of the best teams in the qualifier and have a good chance in making it to the finals, I would be surprised if Winterfox knocked them out as NRG are simply better right now.
NRG are in top 5~ teams in North America at the moment (not counting Tempo Storm & Luminosity), the team is fairly new and they are already showing very promising results, so far they managed to beat SPLYCE, Enemy eSports and played a very close best of three against Cloud9 yesterday, they had a good lead on the final map and should have won it but Skadoodle clutched the most important round to win the match.
WinterFox are very inconsistent and quite mediocre, their lineup is very strong but it just seems like they cant get along together and their chemistry is pretty bad, funny how they managed to beat OpTiC and almost won a series against Games Academy but struggled against teams like Just Make It Fast, SPLYCE, Obey.Alliance and got wrecked by Enemy eSports… they are way too inconsistent which is very bad for bettors because you basically never know what’s going to happen.
I’m not very confident with this match but I feel like NRG will take this, the last series between these two ended up being a 1-1 draw, but NRG looked better and should be able to finally beat them today.
My odds for this match: WinterFox 30:70 NRG eSports
