NA LCS Week 3 Preview - Tipify

The North American League of Legends Championship Series continues to heat up. Week 1 and Week 2 displayed plenty of action where the 10 teams completed 2 matches each. Entering Week 3, we saw a lot of new stories transpire including underperforming teams and a lot of surprises.

NA LCS featured a new and revitalized format this season with the introduction of team franchising. In fact, four new teams—OpTic, Golden Guardians, CLG, and 100 Thieves—playedtheir debut matches in the league earlier this week. Along with the new organizations came new rosters who played in the NA LCS.

Both the first and second week of NA LCS will progress this coming Week 3, which opens on January 27. Some teams came through with expectations but others did not and now sit at the bottom of the league standings.

Although the sample size may be small– as all teams having only two matches–early favorites, Team SoloMid and Counter Logic Gaming have not won a match yet and are included in the bottom pack of the standings with newbie Golden Guardians. TSM was the top favorite to win the season with 2.70 odds, but it looks like they are struggling with the new lineup. On the other hand, 100 Thieves and Cloud9 lead the standings and will face each other this week. That’s a match you wouldn’t want to miss as it showcases a battle for the top spot.
