Go over the esports tournaments results and qualifiers that took place over the weekend. The Overwatch League crowns Stage 1 champions, the second year of cs_summit has a surprise winner, and DotA and LoL tournaments for esports thrill-seekers out there.

cs_summit 2: Two NA teams battling for the crown

Team Liquid and reigning major champion Cloud9 faced each other in the finals of the cs_summit 2 tournament. Both NA teams took down SK Gaming to claim a seat in the finals. This time around, Team Liquid took home the cs_summit 2 trophy and the bigger share of the prize pool, after beating co-region, Cloud9 in a best-of-five finals series.

Moreover, the next CS:GO tournament to watch out for is the StarLadder i-League Series 4 on February 17.

Dota 2 Qualifying Tournaments

The month of March of this year features 4 Dota 2 tournaments. The regional qualifiers for Dota 2 Asia Championship, GESC: Indonesia, EPICENTER XL, and DreamLeague Season 9 continues its matches this week in preparation for the main tournament.

The upcoming tournament for Dota 2 is the ESL One: Katowice–a major tournament with a $1 million prize pool along with a 1,500 Pro Circuit Points for its top winners.

Overwatch League

London Spitfire was crowned as the league’s Stage 1 champion after taking down New York Excelsior in a best-of-three series. Furthermore, sudden surprise, the Houston Outlaws nabbed the second spot after the first stage of the league and the Shanghai Dragons are still looking for their first Overwatch League win after finishing Stage 1 with a 0-10 record.

LoL Tournaments

Heading over to the LCK, it looks like SKT regained their past form and got their first win streak in the split after winning against bbq Olivers and KSV. Furthermore, King-Zone still leads the split after Week 4 of the LoL tournament. Can anyone take down this team?

Lastly, in the NA LCS, the Golden Guardians grabbed their first franchise and tournament win when they won against 100 Thieves after forcing an upset. Meanwhile, Cloud9 and Echo Fox still leads the pack and are tied with 7-1 records.
