Taco Replaces Steel On Team Liquid’s ESEA Roster - Tipify

Esports News – Team Liquid’s roster for E-Sports Entertainment Association (ESEA) League’s CS:GO tournament is finally complete with the addition of former SK Gaming rifler, Epitacio “TACO” de Melo. He replaced the Brazilian player Lucas “steel” Lopes, the former in-game leader of Team Liquid.

Filling the role

Steel only became part of the CS:GO team last November 11, 2017, but already went inactive this year; as a team leader, he is responsible for bringing Team Liquid placings and trophies at several LAN parties like Americas Minor Championship – Boston 2018 and cs_summit or Beyond the Summit 2 tournaments. But his vis-a-vis, 23-year old Taco, can surely fill his place and meet the fans expectations.

Taco has been linked to Team Liquid and Cloud 9 before the official announcement. He revealed in several interviews before that he plans to join a North American team after turning down offers from Europe. His departure from SK Gaming led the team to consider popular players like Before changing teams like Na`Vi star Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev and Cloud9’s Stewie “Stewie2K” Yip. Before changing teams, Taco was part of the original Luminosity Gaming that broke out of the Brazilian scene and stormed to the highest ranked team in the world. After that, Taco drove SK Gaming’s successes at ESL One Cologne 2017, Epicenter 2017, Blast Pro Series: Copenhagen 2017, and ESL Pro League Season 6 – Finals. Just when the fans thought he couldn’t get any better, he was named by FalleN as a potential breakout player of 2017.

New addition Taco will make his first appearance under Team Liquid in the ESL ESEA Pro League as the site anchor and entry fragger. Hopefully, he will fill in the role Steel left behind.
