Tech Review Tuesday: Corsair Void Pro RGB Wireless vs Corsair HS50 - Tipify

Esports News – Investing in proper gaming equipment is the most effective way to win games, not to mention that it is also the most rewarding activity a gamer can do. If you’re the type of person who loves to experience clear and booming sound quality while enjoying the game’s visuals, a proper gaming headset should always be part of your journey.

This week on Tipify’s gaming equipment series, we break down the advantages and disadvantages of the two gaming headsets recently released by Corsair, an American computer hardware company solely known for producing high-quality products since 1994. Their newly released gaming headsets impressed majority of gamers and were included in Techradar’s Best PC gaming headsets 2018. These are the Corsair Void Pro RGB Wireless and Corsair HS50 Stereo Gaming Headset.

The prices of the two are far apart, that’s one thing to consider. But which of them is a living proof that you get what you pay for?

Corsair Void Pro RGB Wireless

Retailing at $159.99 USD on Amazon, The Corsair Void Pro RGB Wireless speaks for its price and answers to every dollar you spent. This version is a follow-up to the previous Corsair Void RGB wired headset and it leveled up to give you more comfort in gaming. The sound quality of this headset can rival more pricey headsets in the market because of the 7.1 surround sound injected in it. The volume can be turned low or high on the left ear, and the mic can deliver clear audio while diminishing background noises.

Outside, the customizable RGB lighting can only be seen and enjoyed on the logo. The design is premium, but Corsair still endorses the plastic designs and metal pillars that most players complain about. Despite the finish, many users claim that it is actually durable.

Corsair HS50 Stereo Gaming Headset

The second most loved gaming headset by Corsair is its HS50 Stereo Gaming Headset which retails at $49.99 USD on Amazon. It is significantly cheaper that the Void Pro RGB Wireless. Regardless of the affordable price, you will experience the best sound quality a half-a-hundred dollar headset can offer. The HS50 features 50mm drivers, a bit larger than most headsets with 40mm drivers, and the popular 7.1 surround sound.

Design-wise, it is far from the quality of most headsets in its price rance. It has large cans, faux leather, and comfortable memory foam cups that provides an easy fit. Many users claim that it is flexible, but the large mic can be annoying at times.
