Tech Review Tuesday: Razer BlackWidow vs Logitech G810 Orion

Esports News – If you have high gaming ambitions, do not settle for mediocre gaming equipment. Something that looks “just fine” cannot satisfy all your gaming needs such as durability, comfort, and flexibility of your devices. For these reasons, and more, it is important to choose the best gaming keyboard that can translate and put into action your commands and shortcuts.

All keyboards, of course, offer the necessary keys for typing. But gaming keyboards are different in nature—they are designed to increase your speed and reactions in real-time strategy, multiplayer battle arena, and first-person shooter games. With this in mind, this week’s episode of Tipify Gaming Equipment series features two of the best gaming keyboards approved by professional gamers: Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Gaming Keyboard and Logitech RGB G810 Orion Spectrum.

Razer BlackWidow

The BlackWidow keyboard series of the brand Razer has different versions floating around. The latest 2017 version is the best one so far, but all previous editions are also on a par with its advanced features. Retailing at $79.92 USD, this keyboard can provide you tournament-grade precision, long-lasting durability, and individually backlit keys with dynamic lighting effects. Sure enough, you will always get ahead of the game with its 80 million keystrokes, but it’s not the biggest catch yet: it’s the water and dust resistant technology surrounding the keyboard. Whatever or whenever you decide to play, it will survive spilled drinks and a dusty environment.

The BlackWidow Ultimate does not have media controls dedicated to play, stop, next, previous, and volume up/down shortcuts. That’s the main disadvantage you may face. If you can live without this or you’re okay with downloading an additional software, it will suffice.

Logitech G810 Orion

The Logitech keyboard is a bit pricier than the Razer BlackWidow Ultimate. It costs $99.99 USD on Amazon and roughly the same in various marketplaces. Regardless of the price, this keyboard offers the complete package—something a gamer would always say for products manufactured by Logitech. It is built with cutting-edge technology such as ultra-responsive Romer-G mechanical key switches, customizable RGB lighting, easy access media control, and 26-key rollover. Logitech G810 Orion can even deliver a much purer gaming experience through gaming personalization. You get full control over the keyboard and you can customize your favorite games with custom button macros from F1-F12.

If the Razer BlackWidow Ultimate lacks media controls, the Logitech RGB doesn’t have macro keys, the key sequences in keyboard strokes bound to a command or shortcut. Macro keys can easily and conveniently launch a program, so some gamers prefer to have it to improve productivity.

I have the skorpion k2 rgb, and I think it works fine for a mech, but what do you think of the razer blackwidow 2016. I think i have seen that for much cheaper, on the other hand hyperx (kingston) uses actual mx cherry switches
