Esports News – The Kuala Lumpur playoffs successfully concluded its first few rounds, and Team Secret and PSG.LGD emerge as two of the top contenders with dominant performances in the upper brackets. Both teams showed no signs of defeat and hesitation throughout the playoffs.

Playoffs recap

Team Secret beat Vici Gaming in the opening day of the best-of-three playoff matches. It was a rematch between the two after they faced each other at the ESL One Hamburg finals two weeks ago. As expected by many, Michał “Nisha” Jankowski’s TerrorBlade led the front and center of the team with impressive performances. Team Secret made the first game quick by closing it in less than 30 minutes. They won the second game in the same manner and earned the 2-0 victory.

The same event happened in PSG.LGD’s tournament run. They dominated the playoffs by sweeping Alliance in the second match of the upper bracket. They handed alliance a brutal match to finish rounds 1 and 2 undefeated.

Team Secret and PSG.LGD are the only teams in the Kuala Lumpur Major that have yet to lose a single match, but they still have more matches coming in Round 3.

Meanwhile, the other half of the bracket in Round 2 will see Evil Geniuses against Ninjas in Pyjamas and Virtus. Pro against Fnatic. The remaining teams standing after their defeats from PSG.LGD and Team Secret will head to the lower brackets. Alliance will face TNC Predator in Round 2, while Vici Gaming will play against paiN X in the elimination matches.
