Complexity Gaming Signs Mercale, Deth, and Adam - Tipify

Esports News – Team CompLexity Gaming acquires three SEA players to fill their roster for the North America Dota 2 regional tournaments. This is the team’s response to their loss last week after the new Dota Pro Circuit qualifier events released its new format. Unexpectedly, the team signed back its former player Adam Erwann Shah “Adam” bin Akhtar Hussein, together with Yang “Deth” Wu Heng and Galvin “Meracle” Kang Jian Wen.

Comeback and new signings

For reasons yet unknown, Adam left compLexity Gaming after the team’s disappointing loss to OpTic Gaming in the North American qualifier of The International 8 (TI8). He left the team with its previous roster consisting of Zfreek, Limmp, and Moo. He originally joined playing the support role and in-game leader and captain right after his time with Fnatic’s Dota 2 team as a head coach. Adam now plays support and coach for compLexity Gaming, together with his signature heroes: Vengeful Spirit, Witch Doctor, and Dazzle. He currently holds the #121 (15 points) position ad the Pro Circuit individual player ranking.

Aside from the team’s former teammate, there are 2 new SEA faces in the line-up. Adam brought in two new players to fill in the remaining positions for the upcoming Dota 2 qualifiers. Meracle and Death are now part of the team.

Meracle is a Singaporean Dota 2 player now serving as the new carry and solo middle for the team. He became the captain of First Departure at the age of 17, one of the youngest captains in the professional esports scene. He was then known worldwide after the International 3 when he became part of the RisingStars, bringing with him his signature heroes: Juggernaut, Naga Siren, and Morphling.

Deth is another Singaporean player who made his debut as the new offlaner of the team. He previously played under Team Flash, Fire Dragon, Nasty Potatoes, and Spac Creators. His signature heroes are Doom, Batrider, and Axe.

The three players made their appearance at the North American Chongqing Major qualifiers last November 28th and won the open qualifier for ESL One Katowice 2019 North America. Complexity Gaming will test its new roster again for the next regional qualifiers.

Current compLexity Gaming roster:

  • Singapore Galvin “Meracle” Kang Jian Wen
  • Sweden Linus “Limmp” Blomdin
  • Singapore Yang “Deth” Wu Heng
  • United States Zakari “Zfreek” Freedman
  • Malaysia Adam “Adam” Shah
