Esports News – The Vancouver Titans is the penultimate expansion team in the league to reveal their branding, logo, and roster before season 2 of the Overwatch League takes off. The team finally released a promotional video containing all the information fans and opponents need to know about its line-up on their official twitter page: @VancouverTitans.

Vancouver Titans is the second Canadian team in the League–following Toronto Defiant–representing British Columbia. The team is owned and operated by Aquilini Investment Group, a company that specializes in commercial and residential buildings, hotels, and restaurants. The group also owns the National Hockey League’s Vancouver Canucks, Luminosity Gaming, and the Rogers Arena.

On their promotional video release, the Vancouver Titans introduced their complete roster consist of former players from Element Mystic and RunAway, one of the best teams in the Overwatch Contender series. In other news, their colors are a combination of green and blue—complementary to their official logo which showcases a hairy beast similar to Bigfoot. The representation reportedly symbolizes the presence of traditional sports in Vancouver.

After the reveal, Aquilini Group managing editor Francesco Aquilini released a public statement explaining the brand identity: “We are thrilled to officially launch the Titans today and to bring a premier global esports team to Vancouver. In choosing our identity we wanted to introduce a team that would resonate with fans in the Pacific Northwest. With a local feel and an experienced, skilled team, we are ready and can’t wait to have the Titans compete at the highest level in esports.”

The Titans also revealed their coaching staff following the nine-player roster. The team behind the roster includes Hwang “paJion” Ji-Sub, the former coach of Fusion University of Overwatch Contenders, as well as former San Francisco Shock analyst Harsha “Harsha” Bandi and RunAway Contenders Season 2 Korea coach Kwon “Yang1” Yang-won.

Vancouver Titans and its newly-establish roster will join other expansion teams from Atlanta, Washington, D.C., Paris, Chengdu, Guangzhou, and Hangzhou for Overwatch League Season 2 in January.
