DreamHack Masters Dallas 2019 Viewer's Guide - Tipify

Esports News – The next prestigious CS:GO LAN tournament you need to watch out for is set to begin today, May 28. The new season of DreamHack Masters Dallas rims from May to June to introduce a blend of top-tier teams from different regions. Participants will compete for the lion’s share of the $250,000 USD and the largest tournament points for Intel Grand Slam Season 2.0

Tournament format

The Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas hosts the tournament from May 28 to June 2. The teams will compete under two double-elimination groups. The first few matchups will be played in BO1, while the remaining matches are in BO3.

The 16 CS:GO teams are divided into two groups for the group stage. The top three sides from each group advance to the playoffs where they have to battle it out in a single elimination, BO3 tournament format. The group stage winners with secure slots then heads to the semi-finals, while the second and third-placers moves on to the quarter-finals as high seeds and low seeds.

Competing teams

The 16 teams are divided into two groups with 8 teams each. The group draw is as follows:

Group A

Team Liquid – United States
Ninjas in Pyjamas – Sweden
FaZe Clan – Europe
Team Vitality – France
North – Denmark
Windigo – Bulgaria
TYLOO – China
Lucid Dream – Thailand

Group B

ENCE Esports – Finland
Fnatic – Sweden
NRG Esports – United States
Renegades – Australia
G2 Esports – France
FURIA – Brazil
Cloud9 – United States
Isurus – Argentina

Team Liquid and Vitality are heavily favored by many to win the tournament. The two teams, after all, arguably have the most impressive track records this year. Liquid and Vitality went head to head for the CS_Summit 4 title last week, with the latter winning the title.
