Esports News – The play-in rounds for League of Legends’ Mid-Season Invitational are over, and we now look forward to the main event that determines the top qualifying teams for the World Championships. Let’s take a look at the events’ competing teams, schedule, and streaming guides:

Competing teams

This year’s playing field includes most of the top pro LoL teams in the world. All those teams who dominated the recent regional qualifiers for Spring, Summer, Split, and Winter playoffs will head on to compete in the main stage. One of the most-awaited competitors in the tournament is the newly-revamped SK Telecom 1 who recently won the LCK Spring Playoffs. The team is on their first major international competition after Worlds 2017. Joining SK Telecom 1 on the field is the 2018 World Champions Invictus Gaming who won the LPL Spring Playoffs. These two powerhouses will see the other qualified teams, Flash Wolves, Team Liquid, G2 Esports, and Phong Vũ Buffalo.

Main event schedule

The main tournament starts with Group Stage matches BO1 format. Each team will face all the competing teams twice in the tournament. The top 4 with the highest scores advance  to the Knockout Stage with BO5 series. This stage determines the top two teams for the grand finals.
