Mousesports Takes Down Valiance To Win DreamHack Open Tours - Tipify

Esports News – German esports team Mousesports overthrows Valiance 2-0 in the grand finals of DreamHack Open Tours to win the second season’s title and the lion share of the $100,000 prize pool. This is the winning team’s first-ever title at a LAN CS:GO event this year.

Tournament recap

Mousesports also bested other powerhouse CS:GO teams of DreamHack Open Tours: G2 Esports, Avangar, Windigo, FrenchFrog, Ghost, and Instinct. In the final rounds of the tournament, Mousesports proved their worth against Valiance in only 2 maps (Train 16-12, Mirage 16-11).

The battle started on the pistol round of Train where Mousesports went for an A split. The aggressive entry was advantageous for them, earning them a 3-0 lead on their map pick. As an answer to Mousesports’ first bullet, Valiance went after a double AWP setup. Though it’s too early for the tactic to execute, Valiance’s snipers Otto “ottoNd” Sihvo and Rokas “EspiranTo” Milasauskas successfully threatened Mousesports.

A few teamfights and 1v1 went back and forth between the two teams. But the winning streak of Valiance stopped when Mousesports got rifles in their hands. They took back the lead and drove Özgür “woxic” Eker to salvage a 2v5 push, ending the map with a final score of 16-12.

Valiance attacked with Nemanja “nexa” Isaković’s P250 on the pistol round of Mirage. The in-game leader executed three kills, gaining an early lead. Mousesports hit back with their own force with the help of Chris “chrisJ” de Jong’s efforts to stick the defuse. In the half of the game, Mousesports dominated the map with a comfortable lead of 10-5. Two hits on the A bombsite by Finn “karrigan” Andersen finally ended the series, and Mousesports closed out the map with a 16-11 score.
