LOL Patch 9.10 UpdateEsports News – In preparation for the prestigious Mid-Season Invitational and World Championships, Riot Games have finally revealed the latest Patch 9.10. This is the straight up answer and solution to Patch 9.9 that was released last April. The new update comes with new champions, buffs, nerfs, skins, and item changes. Here’s the complete breakdown of the patch notes:

The New Champion

Yummi the Magical Cat is the new support in League of Legends pool of champions. Yummi’s main abilities will come from her Passive – Bop ‘n’ Block and Prowling Projectile. Basically, she has the ability to restore her mana and acquire a shield when she attacks an enemy. Her shield will also protect her allies. When in a team fight, Yummi can fire a missile that carries magic damage to the first enemy hit. If the fired missile is in flight for a while, it can give more bonus damage to the enemy.

Balance Changes For Existing Champions

When it comes to balance changes, Riot carefully considered the positions of their top four picks. We’re mostly looking at Fiora, Riven, Vayne, and Xin Zhao.

Fiora received a slight change to her W-Riposte. Originally, this feature allows her to block both Brum’s and Kennen’s stuns rather than prevent them from activating fully. Now, it will allow Braum and Kennen to apply the last stack of their passives, while completely blocking the stuns.

Riven’s update is one of the most anticipated patch changes this year. Riot cooled down Riven’s Q “Broken Wing” from 13 to 12/11.5/11/10.5/10 seconds. Opposing this, her E “Valor” will go up from 10/9/8/7/6 seconds to 14/13/12/11/10.

Vayne received a big nerf in this patch, and it’s one of the best changes this year. The cooldown of her ultimate “Final Hour” will go from 50% to 30/40/50% at all ranks.

Xin Zhao’s will receive buffs for his “Three Talon Strike”. It will now have a shorter cooldown from 9/8/7/6/5 to 7/6.5/5.5/5 seconds.

Item Changes

Four items had the biggest changes this Patch 9.10. None of them will have a big impact on normal and competitive play except for Guinsoo nerfs. The following items are updated:

Essence Reaver  – attack damage bonus goes up from 65 to 70

Guinsoo’s Rageblade – the phantom hit frequency will go up from every two attacks to three, and the armor and magic penetration will go from 6% to a flat 15%

Hunter’s Talisman – passive burn effect will now apply to pet’s attacks

Runic Echoes –  combine cost goes down from 375 to 250 gold
