Esports News – The Mid-Season Invitational is now over, and Riot Games finally announced the complete LoL Worlds 2019 schedule. The entirety of the event begins on October 2 and runs until November 10 featuring different stages for the 16 competing teams to follow.
The first stage of the event runs from October 2 to 5 and October 7 to 8 at the LEC Studio in Berlin. The following LoL teams competing for the play-in stages that include the winners of CBLOL and LCL; the third-seeded representatives of North America, South Korea, Europe, and Chinese-Taipei; winners of LJL, LLA, OPL, LST, and TCL; and the second-seeded representatives of VCS.
The teams from the regions with several spots available directly head to the group stage, while the twelve teams in the qualifiers have to compete for the four available spots. Since China and LPL carry last year’s World champions, the region will skip the play-in and claim the three spots for the group stages.
The group stage continues the tournament, running from October 12 to 15 and October 17 to 20 at the Verti Music Hall in Berlin, which can accommodate 4,350 people. Out of the original 16 teams from the play-in stage, only 8 teams head on to the quarterfinals.
Quarterfinals and semifinals
Both the quarterfinals and semifinals culminate at the Palacio Vistalegre in Madrid, Spain, which can accommodate 21,000 people. The quarterfinals runs from October 26 to 37, while the semifinals will continue on November 2.
The winners of the semifinals continue their journey at the grand finals in Paris, France, set to begin and conclude on November 10 at the AccorHotels Arena–one of the biggest venues in the history of LoL World Championships. The last two teams standing are expected to battle it out in front of one of the biggest esports crowds.
