Patch 7.22f Is The Final Update For The International 9 - Tipify

Esports News – The last major tournament before The International 9 officially begins are near to the conclusion. We’re only three weeks away. And as the big day approaches, Valve prepares the final balance patch for the tournament. Patch update 7.22f will also feature in the upcoming TI9.

The gameplay was once again, after introducing patch 7.22e, updated with TI9 players in mind. Some of the most widely-used heroes have undergone changes and improvements, and only one item in the game has been nerfed. Anyhow, Patch 7.22f is only a light balance update. Valve only slightly adjusted some of the game’s heroes and items for the convenience of TI9 participants.

Several new and old heroes have been adjusted slightly. The most popular common lane heroes were nerfed—with emphasis on their speed, damage potential, healing potential, and landing capabilities. Here’s a list of heroes who had the most adjustments:

Sven – widely-used among pros, Sven remains to be one of the most popular heroes in Dota 2 because of his hard carry potential and frontlining capability. His farming speed also exceeds the potential of most heroes. In the latest patch, Sven received nerfs to his duration. Storm Hammer stun duration was reduced from 1.4/1.6/1.8/2 to 1.25/1.5/1.75/2.

Centaur Warrunner – another hero getting a lot of attention is Centaur Warrunner. Players are fond of his huge hybrid damage potential and global save/catch. Valve nerfed his Retaliate to reduce his physical damage potential.

Juggernaut – crowd’s favorite Juggernaut has the best magic immunity and healing capabilities. For TI9, his base agility and strength were reduced by 2 and 1, respectively.

Tinker – the biggest patch update for heroes belongs to Tinker. The Cast Ranger and Spell Amplification from his Level 10 Talent were increased from +100 to +125 and +8% to +10%, respectively. His Spell Lifesteal was also changed from +15% to +11% Manacost/Manaloss Reduction.

Valve focused their resources on one item this time, which is the Aghanim’s Specter. The item is available at the game’s Main Shop, but now requires an item from the Secret Shop to be purchased completely. Aghanim’s Specter is an all too powerful item, so Valve reduced its consuming recipe from 2,000 to 1,800.
