Midas Mode 2.0 To Push Through Despite DPC Schedule - Tipify

Esports News – Valve recently announced the dates and format of the 2019-20 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) season, building the hype for the next set of Major and Minor tournaments that will feature professional international players. This is bad news for non-DPC and newly-established tournaments featuring amateur players, but good thing Midas Mode 2.0 is being promoted by a big community in Dota 2.

About Midas Mode 2.0

Jake “SirActionSlacks” Kanner and Andrew “Zyori” Campbell, members of the broadcasting organization and tournament sponsor Moonduck Studios, are the head organizers of Midas Mode 2.0. They’re also known for handling other non-DPC tournaments like Mr. Cat Invitational Season 2, Elimination Mode 3.0, and Captains Draft 3.0. Meanwhile, for this year’s Midas Mode 2.0 sponsor, liberty was given to Betway, a global online gambling company with various online brands.

Midas Mode 2.0 is set to take place from September 24 to October 2 at Local Host Arena in Lakewood, Colorado. The date will clearly overlap the first set of the DPC qualifiers. But thanks to the fans’ collective action, Valve decided to move the first Major and Minor tournament of the 2019-20 DPC season to October 5.

Kanner shared his enthusiasm over Valve’s decision. He addressed the fans on his recent Twitter post: “Sir Sadim’s most complicated plan yet has been foiled…Thank you Dota 2 and the community, this has always been for you and I am so happy to be able to put this on. Now it is time to get all the teams that dropped back on board and to put on THE BEST TOURNEY IN THE WORLD. WE LIVE!”

Midas Mode 2.0 pushes through as promised. It features Dota 2 teams from different regions, particularly in Asia, North America, and Europe. All participants will aim to grab the second Midas Mode title and the lion’s share of the 150,000 prize pool.
