Esports News – ESL Pro League Season 10 finally revealed the list of teams coming from the three main divisions: Europe, America, and Asia-Pacific. The upcoming CS:GO tournament is a staple event from the ESL Pro Tour, but there will be some changes from the rulebook. Here’s everything you need to know about Season 10:
All regions feature 16 CS:GO teams each. All participants are divided into four round-robin groups, so all their matches are in a BO3 format. These teams at the ESL Pro League S10 cannot compete in any other non-Valve sponsored event until the competitive season ends.
In Europe and America, specifically, the tournament transpires in a LAN setting. The dominating teams proceed to the season finals, while the runner-ups have to compete on the second group stage. In the next stage, the remaining 8 teams will again be divided into two groups. Europe delivers the top two teams from both groups to the LAN Finals, while America crowns one winner from each group at the main event.
In Asia-Pacific, meanwhile, all matches take place online. The qualifying system will be different from Europe and America’s LAN setting. Here, the top two teams from each group head to the second group stage. The two teams advancing to the season finals come from Asia and Oceania, so the two regions will only have one representative each.
When all participating regions’ representatives are all locked in, ESL Pro League S10 returns to Odense, Denmark to host the season finals from December 3 to 8. The tournament champion takes home the $250,000 prize money and a ticket to next year’s IEM Katowice.
