Esports News – TNC Predator’s winning streak is at an all-time high. After winning the recent ESL One Hamburg, TNC bags the MDL Chengdu Major title effortlessly. Tournament recap

TNC took down Vici Gaming with a 3-1 victory in the grand final. The winning team entered the competition with a good start. They dominated the group stages under Group A, sweeping Team Unknown and EHOME 2-0 to be qualified for the main event. Afterward, they faced Alliance and J.Storm in a BO3 series to advance to the upper bracket finals.

Vici Gaming met TNC for the first time in the winning bracket final. TNC was defeated, so they had to move to the lower bracket and fight for survival. There, they took down Invictus Gaming 2-0. TNC then successfully set up a rematch with Vici Gaming in the grand final.

Only one day has passed when Vici defeated TNC, but the Southeast Asian team is ready to take their revenge in the last match of the competition. After all, TNC’s performances throughout MDL Chengdu Major was ultimately better than Vici’s.

Game 1 passed like nothing. Armel Paul “Armel” Tabios on Venomancer and Kim “Gabbi” Villafuerte on Morphling gave Vici a good run for their money. The champions were the same picks from Armel and Gabbi during their lower bracket match against Invictus Gaming. Once again, it worked.

Enter Game 2, the matchup was pretty much the same. TNC used the same formula again, and Vici still hasn’t found their weak spots.TNC’s Morphling and Earthshaker combination helped them take control of the map and win the second game.

Vici Gaming recognized some of their mistakes in game 3. They knew they needed to do something to take their chance at the last match. TNC shifted from their previous combination to a Chen + Alchemist pick. It was a mistake, so Vici closed the series with a 2-1 victory.

TNC still has an advantage in game 4. Vici’s victory was only a hiccup. And although the opposing team gained a massive lead of 30k in the early rounds, it wasn’t enough to defeat TNC. For the third time, TNC used their signature Morphling + Earthshaker combo and closed out the series.
