BLAST Pro Series Global Finals Features 4 High-Caliber Teams - Tipify

Esports News – After a series of regional and international tournaments, BLAST Pro Series approaches its culmination. Faze Clan, Astralis, Team Liquid, and Ninjas in Pyjamas—four of the best CS:GO teams in the world will battle it out for the $500,000 prize pool and the Global finals title in Riffa, Bahrain from December 12 to 14.

Tournament details

The four competing squads in the finals feature the highest scores the entire season of the BLAST Pro Series. They emerged victorious in 7 CS:GO tournaments over the course of 12 months, so it’s not surprising that only high-caliber teams remain in the finals.

Faze Clan finished 1st in the rankings, but Astralis defeated them in the recent IEM Beijing. Faze Clan had the highest number of points, while Astralis claimed 5 major titles in 2019 and dominated the Intel Grand Slam (IGS) Season 3 race. Team Liquid finished the season with 7 minor and major titles, as well as the 2nd IGS award. Ninjas in Pyjamas, meanwhile, sits at the fourth spot as a volatile team. Their current position in the BLAST Pro Series standings is one the highest rankings they’ve achieved in the past years.

Here’s the complete breakdown of scores:

Faze Clan – 30
Team Liquid – 28
Astralis – 26
Ninjas in Pyjamas – 24
Natus Vincere – 12
MIBR – 12
Cloud 9 – 6

The Global finals tournament features a double-elimination bracket format with best-of-three matches. The upper bracket and lower bracket teams conclude the finalists the next day. The top two teams head to the grand finals to play for the title, while the other two can still compete at the BLAST Pro Series Standoff, the consolidation final. This year’s Standoff takes place at the BLAST Stand-off Aim map where the first player to secure 7 kills wins the match-up.
