Esports News – ICE London, an annual global gaming innovation showcase, partnered with GG.Bet to host a prestigious CS:GO event in London in February. With CS:GO on the rise in the United Kingdom and the successful conclusion of the recent CS:GO GG.Bet Ice Challenge, the two companies work together to bring a large-scale event featuring the best CS:GO teams around the world.
The event brings together 8 of the best CS:GO teams in London from February 4 to 6. Natus Vincere, Heroic, and AVANGAR—the three teams who previously played at GG.Bet Ice Challenge—are confirmed for the tournament. The remaining five contenders joins at a later date.
GG.Bet and ICE London want the CS:GO tournament to be much bigger than the recent GG.Bet Ice Challenge and other minor tournaments in London. So aside from its $250,000, ExCel Convention Centre hosts the event. An estimated 4,000 to 6,000 attendees will fill in the seats.
Na’Vi, the second runner-up of GG.Bet Ice Challenge, is one of the top favorites in the competition. Na’Vi made it to the grand finals with the Danish team North, but the team failed to take home the title. North, meanwhile, turned down the invite because of the upcoming 2020 BLAST Premier Season that takes place right after ICE. Na’Vi will compete on both events.
