True Sight: TI9 Grand Finals Airs January 28 At 7PM CET - Tipify

Esports News – The legendary 2019 edition of The International (TI) is getting its own documentary as True Sight’s third installment this year. It focuses on OG Esports, the first-ever back-to-back winner in the history of TI, and Team Liquid, the grand finalist.

Valve posted the announcement and trailer on Dota 2’s official blog. The post stated the full details of the release: “OG made history in Shanghai last August by successfully defending their hold on the Aegis of Champions…Fans from around the globe can tune in live on Tuesday, January 28th at 7:00 p.m. CET to see exactly how the story unfolded as the teams themselves relive the epic journey at the world premiere event.”

The gist

Although all participants will have their own screen time, Valve will mostly highlight the grand final match between OG Esports and Team Liquid in the documentary. And of course, the historic win of the former. This year’s True Sight shows the backstage drama of the two teams—including a series of clips from their training area, booths, and finals stage.

The 30-seconder trailer shows a juicy bit of dramatized talk between Kuro “KuroKy” Takhasomi and other members of Liquid in the middle of the grand final. The camera also captured Sébastien “Ceb” Debs saying his final words before the team walked on stage. And finally, we saw clear footages of OG Esports’ victory led by Johan “n0tail” Sundstein as they lift the Aegis of Champions.

In last year’s episode of True Sight, we saw the drama between OG and PSG.LGD and how the champion upset TI8’s finals in five games. Meanwhile, the first-ever episode followed the events of TI7 and the fight between Team Liquid and Newbee.

The premiere

True Sight: The International 2019 Grand Finals premieres on January 28th, 2020, 7:00 p.m. CET, at the Babylon Theatre in Berlin, Germany. Tickets are available for purchase for EUR 10 starting January 6th at 9:00 p.m. CET.

For those who can’t make it to the live viewing premiere, the episode airs on both SteamTV and Twitch. The full version of the documentary can be accessed by the public on Dota 2’s official YouTube channel at a later date.
