Only 6 remain from the pool of 12 teams. The final two CS:GO teams to complete the magic 8 will come from the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown, a minor tournament organized by RFRSH set to take place two weeks before the finals.

OG and G2 Esports, the top two teams from Group C, took their spots earlier this week. OG defeated Evil Geniuses in a BO3 series, beating North America’s top representative this year. G2 Esports, meanwhile, defeated both OG and 100 Thieves in a one-sided match, earning a 2-0 win-loss record in the regular season’s qualifier round.

In the first week of February, Group C’s Natus Vincere and Complexity kicked out Team Vitality and Astralis out of the regular season to seal their spots in the finals. In other news, Group A’s Faze Clan defeated Ninjas in Pyjamas and Team Liquid twice to secure a spot. Team Liquid then had to undergo another set of matches for a chance to get another spot. In the end, they easily defeated Ninjas in Pyjamas and MIBR.

The losing teams from the regular season’s qualifier round—Ninjas in Pyjamas, Team Vitality, Evil Geniuses, Made In Brazil, Astralis, and 100 Thieves—will fight for the last two spots in the Spring 2020 Finals at the $325,000 Spring Showdown. The group stage takes place from June 2 to 3, while the playoffs culminate on Sunday, June 7.

In the Spring Finals, the 8 qualified teams will compete for the lion’s share of the $750,000 prize pool and a spot at the BLAST Premier Global Final 2020, the biggest international CS:GO tournament of the year. The Spring Final champion will wait for the culmination of Blast Premier Fall 2020 before settling the overall winner of the Global Final.
