Esports News – CS:GO’s DreamHack Masters Spring pushes through as an online event in four regions— Europe, North America, Asia, and Oceania from May 19 to June 17. DreamHack has revealed the group and bracket distributions of all regions this week.

After several esports organizers cancelled their major events due to the COVID-19 pandemic, DreamHack recently announced that they have the resources to host a major CS:GO tournament online. On their official website, DreamHack said: “Due to the ongoing health and safety concerns in the world, and in the interest of the safety and health of our players and staff, DreamHack Masters has been rescheduled and moved to an online format in order to fulfill our promise of bringing the CS:GO community the world’s best action.”

DreamHack Masters Spring will take place as scheduled. A total of 32 CS:GO teams will participate in the event to fight for the title and the lion’s share of the $300,000 prize pool. Each region has its own number of slots and brackets, as well as group division and tournament format.

Europe Divison

Europe has 16 participants divided into four groups with four teams each. Members of the group will undergo BO3 round-robin matches from which winners will move on to the tournament’s upper bracket semi-finals. The runner-ups proceed to the first round of the lower bracket.

North American Divison

In North America, 8 participating teams have been distributed in the same format as the Europe Division. Two groups will compete for a spot in the upper bracket semi-finals through BO3 round-robin matches and double-elimination playoffs. The runner-ups will start the playoffs in the lower bracket semi-finals.
