Esports News – Riot Games addresses several game issues in League of Legends patch 10. The latest version of the update, patch 10.11, is here with more balance changes, cosmetic items, and champion tweaks.
The dev team released the update yesterday, reminding everyone that 10.11 is much bigger than the previous ones, including changes that could potentially affect pro LoL tournament meta. In the words of Riot communication strategists Hanna “shio shoujo” Woo and Tricia “mom cat” Tan, here’s the main target of patch 10.11:
“This patch, we wanted to make sure we did it right. We spent some long, dreary evenings in a cold room, huddled around one single candle, chanting away all semblance of cringe wordplay. Safely distanced, of course. So don’t fret, baby girls and boys. We got this. Running it down—we’ve got a couple tweaks here, from Fiddlesticks to Lux, but the real meat of the patch is focused on the Marksman class (yes, it’s here!).”
Riot focused on the ADC role for the successor of patch 10.10, so the spotlight is on Fiddlesticks, Gangplank, Hecarim, Kai’Sa, Lux, Graves, Janna, Syndra, and Talon. The lineup consists of Marksmen, the toughest ranged champions whose main power comes from basic attacks. These champions encounter major durability problems, but they deliver heavy damage.
Fiddlesticks – Passive Effigy posing time and W minion damage increased.
Gangplank – Base AS ratio increased.
Hecarim – Q base damage and minion damage reduction increased.
Kai’Sa – Q bonus AD ratio increased. R range to be increased on the next update.
Lux – E2 slow duration increased.
Graves – Q first shot damage ratio reduced.
Janna – W base damage decreased.
Syndra – E cooldown increased.
Talon – Q cost increase; Heal on kill decreased early.
Riot only bothered to adjust the movement speed of 5 items, but these updates are actually crucial to balance changes. The 5% movement speed of Zeal, Phantom Dancer, Rapid Firecannon, and Statikk Shiv was increased to 7%. The movement speed of Runaan’s Hurricane, meanwhile, increased from 7% to 9%.
