Esports News – To welcome the 2020 League of Legends Summer Event, Riot Games releases the game’s newest skin line on the Summoner’s Rift. Six new skins and four new chromas from the Spirit Blossom line goes live on the patch 10.15 cycle today.
Riot communications strategists Hanna “Shio Shoujo” Woo’ and Tricia “mom cat” Tan revealed the skins and chromas from the complete list of patch notes on LoL’s game updates section. Putting an emphasis on the Spirit Blossom Festival, an ancient celebration in Ionia where the door to the spirit world is opened and the dead return to their loved ones, the blog post says:
“This patch, we welcome the arrival of the Spirit Blossom Festival, first with the entrance of Lillia, our brave guardian from Ionia, and then the return of Nexus Blitz (oh yes, it’s back!), all set in an ethereal realm of wondrous magic and bloom.”
Aside from Lillia’s design that is heavily inspired by spirit blossoms in Japan, here are the new set of skins and chromas for the existing champions in the game:
Spirit Blossom Thresh
Spirit Blossom Vayne
Spirit Blossom Yasuo
Spirit Blossom Lillia
Spirit Blossom Teemo
