The ESL 2021 Tournament Calendar Is Now Live - Tipify

Esports News – ESL, the biggest CS:GO tournament organizer in the world, finally unveiled its complete list of tournaments and events for 2021 that are likely to make it to CS:GO odds markets. With the COVID-19 pandemic still wreaking havoc, most of the tournaments are planned as studio events without a live audience.

All of the participating CS:GO teams gear up as action starts on February 16 with IEM Katowice 2021. The most-anticipated ESL One Cologne event, scheduled for July, will be evaluated as a potential exception for the no-audience rule since the company plans to kickstart its transition towards LAN play.

Below is the complete list of ESL tournaments in 2021:

  • IEM Katowice 2021: 16 – 28 Feb / $1,000,000 / 24 Teams / Online

  • DreamHack Masters Spring 2021: 29 Apr – May 9 / $250,000 / 16 Teams / Studio

  • IEM Winter 2021: / 02 – 12 Dec / $250,000 / 16 Teams / Live Event Asia

*The schedule for IEM Fall events overlaps with the recent announcement of the PGL Major, so ESL and Dreamhack are currently working on solutions to adjust the dates.

With the planned transition, ESL noted that all events will be run according to their current “Return to LAN” protocols in conjunction with the Counter-Strike Professional Players’ Association (CSPPA). Additionally, ESL stressed that the 2021 schedule will be dependent on the latest national and local health guidelines.

The “Return to LAN” protocol includes the following:

  • Testing and other measures before arrival at the event
  • Travel and arrival at the accommodation
  • Creation of a controlled environment among participants, staff, and others
  • Ongoing COVID-19 testing procedures during stay
  • Prepared actions in case of positive tests
  • Prepared measures in order to ensure that players can return home safely

Information about the ESL Pro Tour structure follows in the coming weeks, including updates on DreamHack Open competitions. Watch out for more news and updates soon.
