It’s do or die time for the last eight remaining teams in London fighting for the Major trophy and while Natus Vincere wants to show that they deserve their place amongst the best in the world, BIG wants to show that they can beat the best.
Over the last two weeks, we saw BIG coming up as a real contender for the high tier events. Smooya is a very skilled player and alongside GobB and tabseN, he is proving to be worth of this tier of the competition. The aforementioned GobB is also proving to the world that he’s worth of his title as one of the best in-game leaders from the past Counter-Strike iteration. BIG’s problem, however, lays in two specific factors: nex, who isn’t reliable enough and it’s a vital piece for the success of this team in the top level, and their map pool. Of course, this version of the roster is much more versatile than the one who played in Krakow last year but still is a problem to figure out.
Talking about map pool, Natus Vincere is really suffering with their map choice. Although a solid team in most of them, the CIS powerhouse absolutely avoid Cache and has a 0% winrate in Dust2. Na’Vi however, compensate this with the world’s best duo in CS:GO, Electronic and s1mple. Zeus in-game leading is also counts with experience and Edward is his ever-helpful support. So, although a lackluster map pool is a problem that will harm Na’Vi here, they will count with a reliable and strong roster.
So, in this best of three, we expect to see BIG picking up Dust 2 as their map pick and Nuke should be Na’Vi’s choice. We do believe that we will be heading to Inferno as the decider, which is a map that s1mple loves and has shown to be one of the best players in. Thus, a bet on Na’Vi is suggested.
My odds for this match: Na’Vi 67:33 BIG
My tip: Na’Vi 20
Although Big can be said to have had a very successful run here at this Major. Navi has played both stronger teams and showed a consistent high level of cs.
Since its bo5 with quite good rates, I believe that Navi will win this and can go with a large bet.
