Astralis and NIP will play each other on Overpass, it is a map that both teams have had periods of dominance on. Astralis was once known as the best Overpass team in the world. However, their decision not to play the map on a consistent basis is what forced the team to not be at the same level anymore. However, AStralis remains the team to defeat in this tournament. They have won several tournaments on a consistent basis and recently also won the Intel Grand Slam Season 1.
NIP has shown us a significant improvement over the past few months. The team is led by Lekr0 and has a very high skill ceiling. However, they have been plagued with a lack of performance on multiple players. We need F0rest and Get_Right to put up big numbers in order for the team to start making inroads in their tournament. Dennis is also well-known for putting up big numbers, especially on their pistol rounds. This gives them a big advantage going into the rest of the match. Of course in raw Skill, NIP does not match up with Astralis. But there is a mental block when it comes to Astralis and NIP. the Nip players always feel like they are much better than Astralis, regardless of their world rankings.
We recommend a bet on NIP. This is a risky match, but Astralis always seems to under-perform when it comes to NIP. It is due to the years of dominance by NIP in the previous years that NIP is always able to put up big numbers against Astralis.
My odds for this match: NiP 57:43 Astralis
