This could be the grand final of this event as ENVYUS and Virtus.pro are the best teams here, it’s also the closest match as these two teams are equally good, Virtus.pro may have been better this year, but they are way more inconsistent, another thing is that ENVYUS always had a great matchup against Virtus.pro, so it might give them a confidence boost here.
So, ENVYUS are in a tricky situation, as I said in my previous predictions – there is a big french shuffle expected to happen after the major and it kinda makes me feel like ENVYUS may be a bit careless here, but then again, there is so much money on the line, noone would give up on $800,000.
Looking at the maps, I’d say that ENVYUS should be better on dust2, nuke, cache and maybe cobblestone, although that one would be tough, while Virtus.pro are definitely better on mirage, overpass and train, in fact, overpass is a map ENVYUS have been removing for the entire year, so that will be their veto for sure. I strongly believe that ENVYUS’ map pool is better, and since we won’t know the maps before the match starts, I think they would be my pick here, mainly because of the maps, but also the consistency thing, I just trust them much more than Virtus.pro.
So, either a small bet on ENVYUS on each map, or watch the first one and then bet on the second if that’s even possible, either way, this match is really risky and either side could take it.
My odds for this match: VP 56:51 EnVyUs
