One of the most exciting games of the day pits Supermassive from Turkey and G2 from Europe.
G2 is from the EULCS, a major region, while Supermassive hails from Turkey, a wildcard region. Despite this, Supermassive won the first battle against G2 and has the chance to finish top of the group and potentially cause a scenario where G2 or another number 1 seed gets knocked out of the tournament early. Supermassive looked great on day 2, and could easily 2-0 once again and finish 4-0. GBM is quite a hit or miss player, and he was a complete hit on day 2. Supermassive was able to punish G2’s biggest weakness, which is their bot lane. The honorary ‘best in the west’ are proving why that title is a bit of a meme, and Zeitnot / Snowflower ran over them. The one bright spot of G2 was Jankos, whose early game power was once again evident. If G2 wants to defeat Supermassive, they’re going to have to play through the early game power that Jankos provides and prevent their bot lane from falling too far behind in the early game.
For this match, we are predicting a Supermassive victory. What was an upset in the first day now seems realistic and maybe even likely after G2 were exposed in day 2. G2 is going to have to make some improvements if they are going to win first in the play in group.
